Best beaches in Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale beach is world famous. It comprises four miles of accessible shoreline lined with a selection of shops, cafes and entertainment venues. Additionally, this chic piece of coast is one of Broward County’s Blue Wave Beaches. Once known as a destination for Spring break parties, Fort Lauderdale beach has remade itself as a family-friendly spot where visitors can dive, snorkel and jet ski in the clear waters. If you tire of the sand, you can take a walk around the wave wall and grand, palm-hugged promenade, and soak up the lively atmosphere.

If you prefer quieter beaches with fewer crowds of glamorous people, head to Daina beach. Set within an untouched 251-acre island, you’ll find a peaceful, serene spot. Grab a snorkel and check out the marine life, or simply relax and enjoy the warmth of the sand. If you visit in the summer, you may be lucky enough to catch the sea turtles nesting. A conservation program has been set up to protect the turtles, and to educate visitors about one of Florida’s most important nesting sites.
