It was officially named Sunny Isles, the American Riviera, and it wasn’t until 1997 that its citizens voted to change its name to Sunny Isles Beach. Since then, there have been major developments in the area, resulting in the popular and luxurious vacation spot tourists have come to know and love.
Flights to Sunny Isles Beach take just over three hours from New York. Like most parts of Florida, the coolest month here is January, when temperatures average 62°F, with highs of up to 75°F possible.
